On July 21, 2012, the members of Portland Lodge #142 dedicated two of its parking spaces for the exclusive use of American Veterans. ER Tom Caputo made a brief speech of dedication and the members of the Veterans of Foreign War Post #4248 Honor Guard played the Call to the Colors and fired a twenty-one gun salute. Veterans Chairman, PER Richard Lazere, cut the ribbon to formally open the parking spaces for use.

Portland Lodge joins the growing list of Oregon Lodges who have adopted this method of honoring our veterans and encourage all Lodges across the nation to follow suit.
